A Journey Back to Myself
Armed with a diary and pen, I set out on a solo two-and-a-half-month ‘journalling adventure’ through Malaysia and Indonesia. Every little self-musing helped me remember my old self and awaken a new one

Reflective travelogues on attention, place, and inner change.
Travel writing is often organised around places—where to go, what to see, what to do. The pieces in this Collection are organised around something else: attention.
These essays and travelogues linger on what it feels like to move through unfamiliar landscapes, to slow down, to notice texture and contradiction. They are less interested in destinations than in what travel makes visible—about history, memory, privilege, and the self.
Taken together, they reflect Founding Fuel’s belief that travel, at its best, is not an escape from thinking, but a different way of doing it.
(This Collection reflects our editorial judgment at a point in time. We revisit and refine it as our thinking evolves.)
