Priyadarshini Rao is an established designer whose label is sold out of India’s most premium boutiques, since 1996. Her work is best defined as luxury pret and she believes her customer to be someone who seeks an elegant and evolved clothing solution rather than a follower of fads. Priyadarshini’s clothes are rich in naturally occurring colour palettes, and in natural fabrics like cotton, silk and linen. She has been the preferred choice of designer for many A listers from business, independent professionals and movie stars. She has been represented in India’s fashion weeks and also exhibited her collection at the Singapore Fashion Week, in Moscow and Hong Kong.

Her label sells out of India, Spain, Japan and the UAE. She has been the Design Head for Shopper’s Stop 2001-02, and a consultant to Globus Department Stores for its Indian wear. 

She has a Diploma in Fashion Design (SNDT University), a Diploma in Textile Design (Sophia Polytechnic) and has completed a Corset and Jacket Making Course at London College of Fashion Studies, UK.
